Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as a public speaking. Feminist Frequency is a website which hosts video and commentary analysing portrayals women in pop media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian has been a media critic, blogger and award-winning feminist for over 10 years. She was the co-creator and the director executive of Feminist Frequency an educational non-profit website which explores the portrayals of women within popular stories of culture. Dispelling stereotypes of women is her primary goals. In addition, she is keen to draw attention to things like harassment and targeted attacks on women in the online world. Sarkeesian who has the degree of Master's in Political and Social Thought from York University, is also an extremely sought-after public speaker. She has given speeches at the TEDxWomen festival as well as United Nations Broadband Working Group for Gender. She has been interested in female issues as well as feminism from a young age.
